M-theory is an 11-dimensional quantum theory of gravity which, in addition to gravitons and other particle-like excitations, includes extended objects known as membranes and five- branes. Though a complete definition of M-theory is not yet known, it is proposed as a nonperturbative formulation of superstring theory and as such is a compelling candidate for a unified theory of the fundamental particles and forces in Nature. Application of Branes in String & M-theory

I believe that Cambridge university is giving the public a really nice gift in the form of lectures that helps the layperson try to understand the many theories discussed.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart, currently i am a student wondering whether physics or math is good or me & i wanted to get a an idea of what the frontiers of physics & math will do for the future
