The world is a complicated place. You need someone to expose the political fakers, fixers and takers, and cut through the mindless chatter and misdirection to make sense of it all. That person is Dan Proft and this is the Dan Proft Show.

Politicians take positions. Proft makes arguments. He's studied the western canons. He's read the books. He's seen every episode of "The Simpsons." From DesCartes to Cartman, Willy Loman to Groundskeeper Willie, he's the Firing Pin to William F. Buckley's "Firing Line" here to spark robust dialogue and see who can employ the most arcane (pop) cultural and artistic references to support their points of view.

Entrepreneur, editorial contributor to the Chicago Tribune, former Republican candidate for Illinois Governor, and morning drive radio talk show host with AM 560 The Answer in Chicago (560TheAnswer.com). He speaks truth to his audience with popular political commentary and provocative interviews with deep thinkers and solutionists.

Intelligent and Insightful

I love listening to Dan -it is a ray of hope in this mad world we are in right now. He can add just the right amount of sarcastic humor when discussing those fellow Americans who follow a political agenda while screaming hysterically at the rest of us, without calling them names. What really impresses me is how he can go to the source on any topic and discuss it intelligently even when it is far from his area of expertise. I'm a retired Biochemistry professor and was struck by how he was able to discuss an esoteric scientific journal article he had read on Immune responses and parse out the gist of the study...an ability that the elite scientific community has seemingly lost in 2020. Everyone should be so well rounded. Awesome -every show. My only complaint-there's one guest who is a public policy doc, but calls himself a molecular biologist, that is totally off-base on COVID, and toting the party line on masks and distancing. I don't think he's worth having on the show-his expertise is nothing more than the usual public policy bit we get from the media and our blue governors.

Great show with informative guests

I discovered Dan Proft when he was a guest host on the Dennis Prager Show. I found his podcast, and now I listen to most shows. He brings guests with expertise to discuss a variety of issues. His conservative, steady temperament has given me hope that we can get through this COVID-19 crisis. I get an education every time I listen to his program.

Informative but poor quality production

I enjoy the podcasts and the information but I don’t think I have listened to a complete podcast because the production quality is so poor I have to turn it off. Often it’s like listening to an AM station, at some point you just have to change channels.
