When the players involved in that clean sweep then tried to get Marks fired a mere 2 years later, he suddenly became a complete joke, an obvious disaster, and the sole reason why the Nets suck. We argue (convincingly) that the mediocre, expectation-less Nets are in a far better spot than the Celtics are (since they are obviously going to flame out again in the playoffs, leading to heartbreak, recriminations, and real fan suffering all around).
