Stalked by a Murderer for Three Years
A pair of teenagers who loved horseriding approached another farm down an unfamiliar path when they observed what appeared to be a scarecrow. They then heard shots ring out. For the next three years, they were stalked by a deranged farmer with a dark past.

The protagonist's two pals had been exhibiting red flag behavior for a long time. He still hung out with them, thinking it was no big deal. Later, while he was alone at home, they showed up unexpectedly. After that, he recognized that they weren't really his friends after all.
