When something bad happens—whether an existential crisis or a personal tragedy—the first step is to accept that it has happened.  Unlike prior crises, such as hurricanes, earthquakes, or other disasters, this crisis is not regionalized.  Everyone is a participant.  Once you accept the crisis for what it is, you can start to take the necessary steps to deal with it.

    * Dealing with extreme or crisis situations in the past and what carries forward today; examples from personal life.
    * What to expect in the short term as people begin to slowly grasp the ramifications of the crisis.
    * How to help others transition from denial/anger to acceptance and then on to adapting to the new normal.
    * You would be surprised what you’re capable of when you don’t have a choice—you can overcome the anxiety and uncertainty of this crisis.
