    From Local Studio to Global Reach: The Inspiring Story of the American Yoga Academy

    Martha Kein shares the inspiring story of how the American Yoga Academy has evolved over the decades, from its humble beginnings teaching yoga classes at local hotels to becoming a global leader in online yoga teacher training. Through the challenges of the pandemic, Martha and her team were able to seamlessly transition their programs online, expanding their reach to serve students around the world - from remote villages in Alaska to yoga practitioners confined to wheelchairs.  Martha's own yoga journey is one of perseverance and openness. After initially being turned off by yoga, she rediscovered its transformative power and went on to become a 500-hour certified teacher. Now, she gets to witness her students develop confidence, find their calling, and bring the gift of yoga to their communities. Martha and the host discuss the importance of making yoga accessible to all, regardless of one's faith or background. They emphasize that yoga's essence is about health, wellness and personal growth - not any specific religion. This inclusive approach has allowed the American Yoga Academy to thrive and make a positive impact around the world.
