Men on Miscarriage

This pod has been powerful for me as a man/husband that has experienced four miscarriages with a vacuum D&C to remove our last. Tobias and the men he interviews provide so much comfort for me when not much can be found. This is the group of guys I wish I had with me through this storm and I guess, in a way they are with me. I’m just grateful to have found this resource during the rawness of anger, jealousy, and grief. While Tobias does come for a faith perspective, I feel like he gets that there may be men, like myself, who are struggling with faith through the difficulties of infertility and miscarriage. I also appreciate that his language reflects the emotions of the moment. I feel like I belong to a community because this pod and hope that I can provide similar comfort for other men who experience this form of trauma and grief. Thank you, Tobias and all the men who share their stories!

These stories of men on miscarriage fill a space that is needed! So often, and for good reason, we hear the stories of women who journey through the heartbreak, loss, and pain in the experience of miscarriage. This podcast is great space for men to hear the voices of other men who are on this journey.

I listened to Mike Atkinson’s part 1 & 2, and were blown away by all of his story. First his story of growing up is crazy authentic and humbling, but honing in on his response to his miscarriage is so eye opening. Not only for men who have experienced the same or similar events, but also for men who in the future may experience these things. There a pieces of gold through the conversation that I know I need to hang on to. I personally do not have any kid or have experienced a miscarriage, but my family members and parents have gone through those experiences. Tobias did an incredible job interviewing and steering the conversation to be so fruitful. Give this podcasts a listen, you will not be disappointed.
