    Attachment and the Father Ladder

    Attachment and the Father Ladder

Today we’re going to continue our

conversation on attachment but through the lens of our relationship with the Lord and how our

earliest relationships have influenced that. We’re also going to take a look at the “Father

Ladder” tool and how we can better process our experiences with our caregivers with the Lord.

    * Ungodly beliefs and our image of Heavenly Father

    * How other family relationships can influence our view of the Trinity (Father, Son and

    Holy Spirit)

Attachment and Breaking Free from Generational Patterns

Attachment and Breaking Free from Generational Patterns

On this episode of Mercy Talk, we continue our conversation on attachment as we

discuss what it means through the lens of breaking free from generational patterns. As

we’ve discussed here before, so much of our upbringing directly affects the way we

show up in the world. Today, we’ll dive into what it looks like to identify both positive and

negative patterns in our family and how we can choose the legacy we leave for those

who follow in our footsteps. Also, in this episode…

    * Working through wounds and being intentional about our healing

    * Forgiveness and grace for those who hurt us

    * Our new bloodline in Jesus Christ!

Attachment and Our Ability to Handle Conflict

Attachment and Our Ability to Handle Conflict

Whether it’s stress from work, an argument with our spouse/roommate or dealing with a

challenging child, conflict can cause us to posture ourselves from a place of defense rather than

from intentionality in our relationships. Conflict is a part of life and cannot be avoided (at least

not forever), so how do we recognize unhealthy patterns and strategize with better ones? Join

us today as we explore the different ways attachment influences conflict and can help us

become more self-aware as we move towards healthier relationships. Also, in this episode…

    * Why putting off necessary conversations cannot be counted as “resolution”

    * Healthy conflict and our ability to handle the emotions of others

    * Expressing feelings of disagreement without the fear of abandonment

Love Mercy Talk

Love this podcast!

Mercy played a huge role in my 12 years ago when I entered the program. If it wasn’t for this program I wouldn’t be alive today. There is so much wisdom in these ladies and they continue to encourage and challenge me. I’m so glad to be able to listen to a podcast that deals with the hard things and helps us thru the things we all struggle with.
