    Episode 63: Review 2×11: The Witch’s Quickening

    Episode 63: Review 2×11: The Witch’s Quickening

In today's episode, MissSnowfox and Xan talk about the eleventh episode of season two: The Witch's Quickening. Join us for a little under 2.5h of questions over questions, a lot of rage about everything, and the regular amount of nitpicking just with fewer headcanons to fix any of the issues, sadly.

Also, if you find it strange that Connor has things to say during the talkback and then not for the rest of the episode, it's because we used the talkback recording of a different episode and added it to this episode because tech failures mean that the Costumes episode for misc. characters wasn't fully recorded but we managed to salvage this massive talkback.

In today's episode, MissSnowfox and Xan are again joined by Archaeologist_D and badwolfzheel to talk about the costumes of this show, specifically Gwen and Morgana's outfits through the seasons. We had to split this in two because the girls definitely did have more clothes to wear than the boys. This episode will focus on Gwen!

In today's episode, MissSnowfox and Xan are joined by Sophie to talk about a difficult topic: Merlin and race, as well as racism - both on the show and in fandom. Strap in for 2.5h where we try to disentangle this heavy subject and hopefully manage to help educate our [white] listeners.

Can't Stop Listening!

If you love BBC's "Merlin" and want to hear excellent analysis of its writing, characters, production, fandom, and more, please give this podcast a listen! It's made by two huge fans of the show, Momo and Rox, who are deeply involved in the fandom and aren't afraid to get opinionated about the what they love and don't love about everything "Merlin." They also often have guests who provide their own points of view on each topic. I can't get enough of Momo and Rox's humor and smart takes. Love it!
