    If You’re Feeling Unhappy..

    if you’re finding yourself in an unhappy place you’re either giving way to much power into the future or giving your past way too much energy. And that’s mental. It’s not real. The only thing real is the present moment that we’re in right now. So When we become anxious we start saying things lk “I don’t have enough time OR this is taking too much time” & when we think of time from a psychological standpoint - it can be very convincing. & this is where things become depressing bc we start to think of time as linear. I was born, I’m at this middle point and I’ll end up here. Making us leave our present state and manifesting happiness at a later time. Once I obtain this degree I’ll be happy, once I get that job I’ll be happy, when I lose more weight I’ll be happy. So we think we’re in the middle point insisting on conditions that need to be met for us to be happy and it’s such a mental manipulation that’s stealing our happiness . If you’re seeing time as your enemy and not as your ally you’re no longer in the present. And if you’re not in the present, how can you be happy? So moral of the story is. Be clear on your intentions and what you’re passionate about and be accepting of that timeline and be aware of the plan may not always go according to plan. When I look back on my life not a single thing I accomplished has gone according to MY PLAN it’s all on HIS TIMING. And I can’t stress this enough but be open to the path taking a turn. Bc if you don’t dabble in new things along the way, if you don’t let go of this mold of who you told everyone you were going to be- you’ll never let new opportunities land in front of you. Failure is the gateway to success& I know that sounds very Tedtalk but it’s true. if you’re not failing at something are you even trying? If you’re not practicing detachment from who you thought you were to who you can potentially be are you even giving yourself a real shot?

    Let women walk home safe

    today, post 8am play date in my neighborhood that I feel relatively safe in a man walking on the opposite side of the park started gawking at me. I could feel his eyes and so I naturally kept looking straight, hand gripped on what I felt I would need to use to protect myself, and prayed to god that he didn’t speak to me. He did. He tried from yards away. “Hello. Good morning. Mmm excuse me,good morning.” Why? Why when I’m walking with my child. Not looking at you at 8 in the morning do men still feel invited and entitled into my space? Why demand I say something back? But I knew what to do. Even though people in uncomfortable situations say to do opposite I went with my gut and forced my quivering body to quietly acknowledge him. Because if I didn’t it’s a tale tell story. He’d become more aggressive. More assertive. Force himself more onto me because god forbid in 2021 a women bruise your ego by ignoring you, men can still not let that slide.     I Quit.

    Friendly reminder that quitting just prolongs the process. You’re quitting because the process is slow. You’re not getting the results you want. You’re starting from the bottom. You have nothing. No big money, no large following,no traction, growth is difficult and you often feel the emotions of loneliness and just plain lost. You start asking yourself “What the hell am I doing?” “Why am I doing this? I’m not even good at it?” “Why isn’t this working out for me.” When you reflect back to where you started whether it was last week or last year, you realize just how much you’ve not only grown. But how much you’ve learned on your own. How much discipline you’ve had. The courage it took to branch out on your own.

    Body Dysmorphic Disorder: A mental illness involving obsessive focus on a perceived flaw in appearance. A relatively common issue,especially today. Something I’ve personally struggled with since high school,but took years to seek help for. Social media hasn’t always been a positive place for me mentally. Seeing bodies, that aren’t even genetically possible on an endless feed can at times revert me back to my restrictive dieting way. If you grasp anything from this episode I hope it’s that EVERYONE even someone who looks relatively confident struggles with their body image. Be kind to yourself. Work on you;for YOU. And keep in mind that what you see online isn’t always real.

    It happens to all of us. “Is this what I should be doing with my life?”. Are these hurdles I have to overcome or is god saying “this ain’t it?”. It’s difficult to distinguish whether you’re being negative or intuitive. Regardless of the career path you take, that new venture you embark on, or if this is the year you’re making your own Hot Girl Summer. It is ALL HARD. It will all take work. It takes an enormous amount of discipline and boldness to do great things. So what do we do? Well my friends, we have a choice. You can sit back, never apply yourself and be okay with where you are in life and insist this is it. Or you can suck it up and keep working towards that goal list. It is all attainable. We just have to be okay with the seasonal self doubt that toys with our mental well-being. LollolololoSENDHELPlololol. I believe in you. WE WILL DO THIS!
