I found this podcast when I first started learning about Agile and have followed it since - it’s been a great resource for leadership, Agile and other IT topics. I recommend it to everyone I work with.
Enjoying the Agile conversation with Bob

I’m not from the IT world, and I recently (and accidentally) discovered Agile as a project-management approach. I am enjoying the perspective of Agile solutions can be to ANY complex problem that benefits from breaking down by a team where all the players have input arriving a the solution. Bob
Fantastic! But I have some topic suggestions

I’ve recently discovered the Meta-Cast and have been listening to the episodes in reverse chronological order. I’m down to around episode 60 at this point. I find that I am highly aligned with the vast majority of the conversation and find something in every episode that can be applied to my daily interactions to make improvement. I would love to hear thoughts discussion about the following topics that don’t seem to get much/any air time: 1. Large scale transformational projects - most of my experience is with major ($500M - $1B) IT projects with a scope of completely replacing dozens of legacy applications with a new solution. How can agile concepts be leveraged for projects with such a large scope? 2. Vendor contracts - the typical approach to achieving #1 above is to enter into a huge, complex contract with a large vendor to deliver the new solution. What are some suggestions for writing a contract for this level of scope that rewards agile behaviors, yet still keeps vendors accountable for delivery? 3. Vendor / contractor execution - the Meta-cast appears to primarily address companies with teams comprised of 100% full time company staff. In my experience, the majority of project delivery staff are either contractors (staff aug) or vendors under contracts. What different approaches / techniques (if any) should be followed when delivering using Scrum/agile with mixed full-time/contractor/vendor teams?
