    3 Ways To Remove "A" Status From the CPC Certification

    This episode explains that the "A" in CPC-A certification stands for "Apprentice Status" and indicates a lack of work experience. It then outlines three ways to remove the "A" status: by accumulating two years of work experience, by combining one year of work experience with an AAPC-approved medical coding course, or by completing the Practicode program offered by AAPC, which counts as one year of experience (combined with education will equal 2 years of experience).     All About Modifiers 26 and TC

    This episode explains the use of CPT modifiers 26 and TC in diagnostic radiology coding. Modifier 26 signifies the professional component, which represents services provided by the physician, such as interpretation and report writing. Modifier TC represents the technical component, which includes the equipment, supplies, and personnel involved in the exam. The use of these modifiers depends on whether the physician is employed by the facility and owns the equipment, in which case a global service is submitted.
