Midnight Showing With Luke and Nash

Luke and Nash are here to cut through the deadpan absolution of movie reviewers and critics. Come join the conversation of the films that moved you, for better or worse, over the years and recently released. At Midnight Showing we’re all audio logs giving our piece from whatever hits that silver screen. We want your own opinions because a good movie gives more than just two hours of screen time and even a bad one can reward wasted time with new ideas. So tune in every Friday at Midnight and welcome in the banter.

    Inherent Vice (2014)

This week on Midnight Showing, Luke and Nash are reviewing a more recent film than usual, Inherent Vice, starring Joaquin Phoenix and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. Based of a novel of the same title, Inherent Vice is a trippy detective story based in a beach community in California in the start of the 1970's. Set in 1970 in a beach community, we meet Larry "Doc" Sportello, who for lack of a better term, is as dirty as hippies come. Doc is a private investigator who is randomly visited by a previous lover, who is desperately asking for his help in protecting her new lover, Mickey, a successful real estate agent from his wife and her lover, who want to get him locked up in an insane asylum. Quickly we are on the case with doc, as leaves no stone unturned, and no joint unsmoked. Interested in starting your own podcast? Ambiguous Podcast Solutions is the place to start!
