Overcoming the Enemy Within with Joe Williams

Overcoming the Enemy Within with Joe Williams

In this week's episode, Elliott is joined by a very special guest - the man responsible for the start of his mental health journey and the inspiration for beginning this very podcast. Joe Williams is a proud first Nations Aboriginal man raised in Wagga Wagga NSW, and although forging a very successful footy career, he has spent a majority of his life struggling with suicidal ideation and Bi Polar Disorder. After his suicide attempt in 2012, Joe found his purpose - to help  people struggling with mental illness. Since then his work in the mental health and suicide prevention space has been nothing short of awe inspiring. In this episode Elliott and Joe rawly discuss their battles with mental health, how their healing journeys needed to go much deeper than just finding freedom on the footy field, and the lasting effects of childhood trauma.

Knocking On Death’s Door To Living A Healthy And Full Life With Todd Jarratt

Knocking On Death’s Door To Living A Healthy And Full Life With Todd Jarratt

Today, Elliott is joined by Todd Jarratt, a name that resonates across numerous fields—from motocross to health and wellness, and even mindset coaching. Todd’s journey began as a bright and ambitious child who faced the harsh reality of school bullying due to his success. To fit in, he dimmed his light until others recognised his potential, sparking a newfound confidence and sense of self.

Travelling around the country as a motocross commentator, Todd transitioned into journalism and coaching within the industry, achieving goals many only dream of. However, life threw him a curveball when he fell gravely ill, facing the possibility of having just 24-48 hours to live if complications persisted. Feeling defeated, he reflected on his life, realising what he had missed and vowing to change his path to pursue true happiness.

Today, Todd is the founder of The Identity System, dedicated to helping people discover their true selves and create the lives they desire. His story is a testament to resilience and the power of embracing one’s identity to live a fulfilling life.
