Going Deeper: My Parent is a Hoarder with Tara Clark

This is the first in a new series of the Minimalist Moms Podcast. Going Deeper episodes will be less structured with a more conversational tone. This week, I spoke with Tara Clark of Modern Mom Probs about growing up with a hoarder. Tara vulnerably shared how hoarding affected her growing up, how it's affected her now and advice for you if a parent or someone you know is in the same situation.

Bonus Episode: How Understanding Our Monthly Cycle Can Influence a More Intentional Life with Megan Rempel

By tracking our unique monthly cycle, we can sync our activities for maximum effectiveness in every area of our life, including decluttering and living a more minimalist lifestyle. Decluttering can be emotional and physically demanding, and cycle syncing can ensure you are doing the right tasks at the right time to make the process easier and more enjoyable. Join me today for an in-depth discussion about this topic with registered nurse, Megan Rempel. Megan discusses how, as women, we have been gifted something pretty incredible with our monthly cycle. Our physiology, energy, focus, and emotional state are all impacted as we go through the 4 phases of our cycle every single month.
For those that are new around here, I release bonus episodes with unique topics that may not interest my wider audience so if this topic doesn’t fit what you’re looking for, join me back here next Tuesday for a conversation about hoarding that you don’t want to miss!

EP227: Mimetic Desire in Everyday Life with Luke Burgis

Mimetic desire — the act of desiring simply what others desire – imitating what others want instead of developing our own intentional, conscious wanting – is powerful in our development, our world and in our everyday lives. Today’s guest, author Luke Burgis, shares his expertise about this concept, how society influences mimetic desire, how we can determine what we truly desire, the impact we can have on the desires of those around us and more!

Wonderful and worthwhile

This is by far one of the best podcasts I’ve had the pleasure of listening to in the past few years. As someone who has grappled/struggled with minimalism, I appreciate the conversations, realism, diversity in guests, and easy to implement ideas. An inspiring podcast that focuses on genuine stories and real people. So glad to have found it!

Bryanna Brown ,

my favorite podcast so far!!!

I am loving listening to Diane. I recently became obsessed with listening to podcasts while doing chores and I found minimalists moms podcast to be a favorite. Always unique and different topics, she doesn’t only focus on minimalism but living life to its fullest and bringing attention to so many other aspects of our health and children. For the most part I’ve enjoyed all of her guest speakers. Her voice is calming and her vocabulary is pleasant to listen to. She doesn’t use a lot of filler words like “like”. I love the questions she asked at the end. I’m looking forward to reading her book. Definitely recommend in anyones journey of parenting.
