Too short

I really enjoyed this series. Very interesting information, people and experts. The added benefit was his own disappearance. He’s a great speaker and very insightful. Never boring. I would have given it five stars but the episodes were too short. I wanted them to go on and on.

Pretty boring tbh

Unsubbed after first episode. Maybe it gets better, idk, life is too short to find out.

Episodes 9-11 Should Go Missing

Season 1 of this podcast (episodes 1-8) was moderately interesting. It has some information about how people can try to go missing in the modern age which touched on relevant privacy issues However it often over-hyped itself and didn't live up to what was breathlessly promised. Now comes three 'bonus' episodes that are simply awful and seem to be the podcast equivalent of clickbait. Episode 9 is an odd duck, it seems to be someone else's podcast that had an interview with Missing's host Tim Weaver. Despite the hype, it doesn't bring together what was learned in the first eight episodes. Rather, it mostly hypes Weaver's latest book. Episodes 10 and 11, are simply infuriating. Weaver claims he will try to go missing while experts try to track him. Sounds promising, right? It's the opposite. With no planning, prep or thought, he wanders out of his house and goes wandering around. Instead of a tight drama where we learn whether what was covered in episodes 1 to 8 will or won't work, we get Weaver ruminating about pot noodles, light switches in caravans, the provision of drawers in bedsits and wet underwear. It's all pointless and dreadfully dull to the point of being offensive. When Weaver starts muttering that he perhaps should have thought things through better, I'd had enough. The minutes of my life I wasted listening to a poorly conceived and cynically produced podcast will never be regained. I deleted the works.
