Modern Monastics Ryan Huguley

I recently read and re-read Brother Lawrence’s “The Practice of the Presence of God.” I also took a seminary course titled “Modern Monk.” My thoughts have been how to be more intentional with the practices of a monk as a working mom of four. And then I found this podcast. A timely discovery. It’s how I start every Monday and the prompts to find posture and breathe and visualize speak to this busy heart that finds it hard to sit still. I’m loving this podcast!

I recently had my first baby. I have been very anxious as to how I might connect with God in a season where I just have less time and less hands. This podcast has been an answer to that prayer. I am able to listen to God’s word, have guided prayers and thoughtful reflections all while tending to the little human God has given me.
