Season 1 is a wrap! A Special Update and Thank you.

Season 1 is a wrap! I would like to thank all of you for all of your love and support through this wonderful project.

It comes with a heavy heart to inform you of my decision to put a hold on Season 2 for the time being.  I just re-enrolled in my Naturopathic Medicine Program and have committed to completing my degree (which has been put on hold various times since I had Elektra.) I am also a homeschooling mother and as there are only so many hours in the day, I have to prioritise how I wish to spend my time. The world is changing and it isn't as easy to make a long term projection of where I will stand next year but I hope to return to the MST project, possibly with more of a holistic health and natural living approach. Thank you for inviting me into your lives and for sharing in this SN journey together.

Please email me at any time. Happy 2021 everyone!

Episode 14- How to Stop Controlling your Children with Katherine Winter Sellery.

Episode 14- How to Stop Controlling your Children with Katherine Winter Sellery.

"We want to set our children free from thinking they are responsible for how we feel."   ~Katherine

Welcome to Episode 14! In today's show I interview TedX speaker and founder of The Conscious Parenting Revolution, Katherine Winter Sellery. We cover the shortcomings found in a controlling form of discipline and introduce a softer approach to parenting. If you find that your child exhibits the 3 Rs: Retaliation, Rebellion and Resentment, then Katherine's solution may just be what you are looking for.  This interview is LOADED with so many golden nuggets that this small description does not do it justice,

    Some highlights include:

The need to learn to be together and the importance in accepting different beliefs in our family systems and the world.
The Belonger vs the Autonomous Child and how to approach these children differently.
Why ODD gets mistaken for an autonomous child.
How to meet resistance with curiosity instead of anger.
    Getting everyone's needs met.
How to be an orchestra conductor instead of a boss.
Learning to be considerate through the experience of it.
Why buying obedience through manipulation doesn't work.

This is an episode you don't want to miss!!

"We know that people are able to regulate their emotions by an internal dialogue, so we need to be able to support their ability to have an internal dialogue."    ~Katherine
