How To Build Self-Worth- The Color Purple Movie Review-3 Mindset Shifts To Make Now

How To Build Self-Worth- The Color Purple Movie Review-3 Mindset Shifts To Make Now

Transformative Mindset Shifts Inspired by The Color Purple
Fantasia plays a powerful role of Ms. Celie, a woman brusied, misused, disgarded, but not broken because she dared to keep getting back up again!
After watching the movie, you'll find yourself on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Here are three powerful mindset shifts that the narrative encourages you to embrace:
    1. You Are Worthy:
The movie beautifully underscores the importance of recognizing your inherent worth. Through the characters' experiences, you learn that self-worth is not contingent on external validation. You are deserving of love, success, and happiness simply because you exist. The film inspires you to break free from societal expectations and embrace the truth that you are inherently valuable.
    2. Find Your Tribe
A central theme in the movie revolves around the impact of community and genuine connections. It emphasizes the significance of finding your tribe – a group of people who support, uplift, and understand you. The narrative encourages you to seek out those who resonate with your values and aspirations. Building a tribe provides a sense of belonging and a support system that propels you forward on your journey.
    3. Your Past Does Not Determine Your Future:
One of the most powerful messages the movie conveys is the idea that your past does not define your destiny. Regardless of the challenges and traumas you've faced, the film inspires a shift in perspective. It encourages you to break free from the shackles of your history and recognize that you have the agency to shape your own future. Your past may shape you, but it does not have the power to dictate the trajectory of your life.
In summary, the movie prompts transformative shifts in thinking – acknowledging your worth, finding your tribe for support, and realizing that your past does not hold the key to your future. As you internalize these lessons, you embark on a journey towards personal growth, resilience, and the creation of a life aligned with your true self.

In it, we'll share some tips and tricks on how to build up your confidence so that you can feel like a boss at work. Ready to learn more? Let's get started!

One of the best ways to boost your confidence at work is to practice self-compassion. This means being kind and understanding towards yourself, even when you make a mistake. Accepting that you're human and will make mistakes is an important step in building up your confidence. When you're kind and understanding towards yourself, you'll be less

How to build confidence in yourself ?

Building confidence in yourself is essential for a successful life. Here are five tips to help you get started:

    1. Identify your strengths and weaknesses. It's important to know what you're good at, as well as what you need to work on. This way, you can focus on your strengths and improve your weaknesses.

    2. Set small goals. When you set goals that are too difficult, you're more likely to become discouraged and give up. But when you set small goals, you can gradually build your confidence and achieve success.

    3. Don't compare yourself to others. It's natural to compare ourselves to others, but it's not healthy. Everyone is different, and everyone has their own unique talents and abilities. Accepting yourself for who you are is an important step in building confidence.

    4. Be positive. Positive thinking is a key component of self-confidence. When you think positively, you're more likely to believe in yourself and your ability to succeed.

10 Back To School Tips For Parents

10 Back To School Tips For Parents

Back to School Tips for parents

After parenting for over 30 years, I gathered 10 tips this week for parents and back to school week.
Here are a few tips, listen to the show for more!

    1. Get organized: Create a daily or weekly schedule for your child, including time for homework, extracurricular activities, and play. This will help your child know what to expect each day and help you avoid overscheduling.

    2. Set an expectation strategy for your child : Talk to your child about what you expect in terms of schoolwork, behavior, and manners. Be clear and consistent in your expectations.

    3. Help Your Child Understand Long Term Goals: Help your child understand that it is not just the grades that matter, but also the effort he or she puts into schoolwork.

    4. Normalize a Space for Positive Thinking : Affirmations before school, Expectations and Hard work will be normal and welcomed. Help your child develop a positive attitude towards school by talking about the things he or she likes about school, such as friends, teachers, and activities.

    Homework
Here are a few things you can do to help your child with homework:

    - Provide an uncluttered quiet place for them to do their work.

    - Offer assistance if needed, but don't do the homework for them.

    - If needed, hire a tutor to help them out.

What are some back to school tips?
Where do I find help for my child?
How do I find tutoring for my child?
How to set a schedule for back to school?
How to help my child with homework?

How to overcome fear of failure

How to overcome fear of failure

    The Fear of Failure
    Why do we fear failure?
    1. We tried it and it didn’t work
    2. We think it’s just too hard
    3. We’ve been operating in fear for a long time
    4. We interpret this feeling, this way of thinking, to be who we are
    5. In other words, we bring all of our failures in the current moment.

I’ve tried so many things that just didn’t work out
    1. I tried making x amount of dollars when I first started out in the beauty industry ( I use to count the squares on the floor while my co-worker had all the clients)
    2. I tried real estate. The problem was, I was caught between a growing business and finding the time to build another business in between. I failed.
    3. I tried being a rapper when I was a teenager. I loved music, dancing, and just that whole 90’s vibe, and of course I failed.
    4. As a mom, I tried methods that just didn’t work individually for each one of my children.
    5. Fear had it’s ugly foot in the door early in my life, and after a series of failures, I begin to feel like fear was so engrained, I stop trying all together.
In today's episode, we go into some tools tips and strategies to help you overcome fear of failure.
