Monarcast

I discovered this podcast while traveling through Granada. I was about to visit the final resting place of Isabella and Ferdinand and needed a crash course on this monarchy. I was a history major and love history but I still feel like sometimes I get overwhelmed with facts and dates. However, this podcast was easy to follow and perfectly paced. Now I’ve found my way into the world of Henry VIII....

I recently discovered this podcast and really have enjoyed listening. It’s a much more informal approach to the history of monarchy that intermixes history, opinion, and a bit of modern day gossip. The hosts try hard to correct any of their flubs in the facts, and make no claim to be an authoritative source for royal history. The editing of the podcast is great as well - fabulous sound quality and I love the sound clip that often times accompanies the intro. Keep up the great work! Excited to see what other topics are covered.

Really enjoy listening to these two young women discuss the history of the British Monarchy and its relevance to current day issues They do their research and present facts while sharing their thoughtful opinions. It is an added pleasure to not have to listen to the overuse of the words "like"and "um" and no extremely annoying vocal fry in their voices as other young women seem to think is necessary. Looking forward to their next podcast series on Henry VIII in July.
