Welcome to the Monday Night Talk podcast for August 10 2026. The show kicks off with the State House Report with State Senator Dylan Fernandes, as the discussion looks at the  changes to tourism, money secured for Plymouth, and provisions in the economic development bill — including new guidelines involving secondary concert and event ticket sales. Retired United Airlines flight attendant Paul Veneto has pushed an airline beverage cart more than 750 miles since 2020, following routes symbolizing the flight paths of the four aircraft hijacked on September 11, 2001. Paulie is preparing for what he hopes will be his final journey, pushing the cart from Boston toward Manhattan in honor of the flight crews — the “first, first responders” of 9/11. He wants people along the route to join him, share their stories and help keep the memory alive. Former UFC fighter and current BKFC competitor Peter "Slippery Pete” Barrett stops by to talk about his career, the transition to bare-knuckle fighting and his upcoming August 29 fight card at Fenway Park! Casey Sherman, Bestselling author joins the show to talk about two upcoming events. Sherman will visit the Chatham Orpheum on August 13th to discuss the inspiration behind his acclaimed book The Finest Hours, the incredible true story of courage, sacrifice and survival during one of the most daring rescues in Coast Guard history. The evening will also include a Q&A and book signing. Then on August 17th, there’s a LIVE READ performance of Casey Sherman’s Ice Bucket Challenge movie script. Proceeds benefit Women of Fishing Families, which raises money for local fishing families in need. Monday Night Talk is proudly sponsored by Tiny & Sons Glass and Alcoholics Anonymous.
