    Gerson and Derick explore the Tower of Babel as a biblical lens for understanding AI. They discuss how Babel represents humanity's pursuit of power and self-sufficiency, and draw parallels with AI—particularly the rise of large language models and the ability of individuals to accomplish what once required teams. The central concern is that AI could make us increasingly independent of one another while leaving us spiritually and relationally isolated. The episode concludes by looking to Pentecost as the antidote to Babel: rather than isolation and self-sufficiency, the Holy Spirit creates communion, understanding, and community.
