With this same mission, ‘More Than A Podcast’ is about how we reach abolition and uplift the voices of those impacted by the state. Desiree Smith, or Des, has dedicated herself to advancing the movement in Vegas since the age of 19. After witnessing her father and community members endure the impacts of police violence and criminalization, She will be leading this podcast to discuss her journey from activism to organizing.
