A weekly podcast where Nando, DJ, and Diggins analyze a piece of pop culture by looking exclusively at the details.
Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over
Watch out! It's coming right through the screen! It's a weird gimmick that doesn't really work anymore because nobody has 3D TVs.
This week, Nando DJ and Diggins Jack in to the metaverse to watch the movie that predicted the future of gaming and the future of how Avengers Endgame would end, Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over.
They nitpick the games, the robots, and of course the uncles.
Looking Back at 2021 / Looking Forward to 2022
It's 2022! So let's spend the first podcast of the year talking about last year! This week Nando, DJ, and Diggins review the worst year ever and speculate about what will probably be the worst year ever. Who know? Maybe things will be good.
The Matrix Resurrections
He still knows Kung Fu. Doesn't really use it as much. But he does know it.
This week, Nando DJ and Diggins dump their blue pills down the drain so they can watch the second movie this year about a man going into a digital world to fight Warner Bros, The Matrix Resurrections.
They nitpick the coffee, the bots, and of course the cakes again.
Spider-Man: No Way Home
We're something of a podcast, ourselves.
This week, Nando DJ and Diggins get transported into a strange dimension to watch the most Spider-Man movie of 2021, Spider-Man: No Way Home.
They nitpick the colleges, the spells, and of course the supplements.
He's got a red suit. He lives in New York. He swings around the city. The one and only.
This week Nando, DJ, and Diggins get ready for Spider-Man No Way Home by watching a movie that doesn't really connect to No Way Home and nobody likes, 2003's Daredevil.
They nitpick the flirting, the music, and of course the leather.
The Matrix Revolutions
The end is here. Not...like...the end end but a half end until the real end in three more movies.
This week, Nando DJ and Diggins throw on their raggedy flannel to watch the movie that is the third Matrix movie, The Matrix Ressur... Oh wait. Revolutions. The Matrix Revolution. Geez, these titles.
They nitpick the mechs, the EMPs, and of course the raves.
I listen to this more than I watch Nando v Movies
I discovered this pod (probably like most people) through Nando’s plugs through his YouTube channel Nando v Movies (which I love), but while I expect to like it, I did not expect to love it as much as I do, and now I’ve listened to more of their pods in 3 months than I have watched Nando’s videos in three years (which is a lot)! Love the pod! Love Nando! Love DJ! Love Diggins! Love Amanda when she comes on! It’s so funny
If you like Nando v Movies, you’ll love Mostly Nickpicking
DJ made me mad today
Having listened to the pod since early 2019, I don’t think any opinion provided on this podcast by anyone has made me as angry as hearing DJ praising the lazy, formulaic half-baked side plots of the film “Sing.” Other than that great podcast.
Movie reviews presented by Alzheimer’s victims
If you enjoy hearing people who only half-remember the movie they’re discussing proudly declare things that are inaccurate, pause the conversation to google exactly what happened in the movie plus several other subjects they misidentified, and then spend time making each other guess what google or a movie goer with a memory already know, then this might be the headache for you!
