    Darkstar Universe: A Journey into Afrocentric Star Wars Narratives

    Exploring the Journeys of an Animator with Lisa Barsi

    David got the opportunity to interview Lisa Barcy at her home studio in Chicago IL. The two talked in the wake of a recently dismantled set from her most recent short, the Cut-Out Stop Motion short, "The Ephemeral Orphanage"; an Official Selection for the 2020 #MoStopMo Shorts Fest. A professor of Animation at DePaul University School of Cinematic Arts, Lisa is an independent filmmaker, animator and artist. Her often irreverent and #Experimental award-winning films include The Guilt Trip, Mermaid, and the Andrew Bird music video Anonanimal.
