    A Vision for God's People

    A Vision for God's People Pastor Erick Download Pastor Erick Schuringa will present a message entitled “A Vision for God’s People”. He will be looking at the book of Ezekiel, chapter 47, verses 1-12. This passage is a gem of a vision, buried in a detailed description of the temple, complete with many measurements. However, the images connect with events throughout the Bible and give us a vision of blessing and hope to which we can hold.

    Change

    Pastor Erick Schuringa will present a message about “Change”. He will be looking at the 2nd book of Corinthians, chapter 5 verses 14-21. When we believe in Jesus, that changes our motives, and it changes how we perceive things. Once those things change, so do our words, actions and relationships. Let's keep assessing how our beliefs are being worked out in our lives. In this service we recognize Indigenous Ministry Sunday as a day dedicated in the CRC, which coincides with National Indigenous Peoples Day. It encourages Canadian congregations to honor Indigenous communities, celebrate local ministries, and pursue active reconciliation. As we celebrate communion today, we will do so with blueberries and bannock. Change Pastor Erick

    Trust More Worry Less

    Trust More Worry Less Pastor Brady Our Pastoral Intern Brady DeBoer will present a message about “Trust More, Worry Less”. He will be looking at the book of Matthew, chapter 6, verses 25-34. Especially in times of transition, like graduation, it can be easy to get caught up in the worries of this world. Jesus teaches us the relief that comes from learning to trust God more. In this service, we will be celebrating our Graduates and commissioning our Summer Camp Staff.

    Check in Quesations for Ministry

    Check in Quesations for Ministry Pastor Erick Download Pastor Erick Schuringa presents a message titled “Check in Questions of Ministry”. He will be looking at the book of Ephesians chapter 4, verses 1-17. As we finish preparing Brady for his ministry experience, we are going to look together at some good check-in questions to assess any ministry we do. Ephesians 4 will be our guide.

    The Holy Spirit and Baptism

    The Holy Spirit and Baptism Pastor Erick Pastor Erick Schuringa continues the series “Hanging Out with the Holy Spirit” with a 7th message “The Holy Spirit and Baptism”. He will be looking at the book of Acts chapter 10 verses 44-48; chapter 11 verses 15-17; and chapter 19 verses 1-7. There are many connections between baptism and the Holy Spirit.  We will look at a number of the connections  and consider how we can continue on our journey of being guided and empowered by the Holy Spirit in our lives.

    The Word Spreads Pastor Erick Download Pastor Erick Schuringa continues the series “Hanging Out with the Holy Spirit” with a 6th message “The Word Spreads. He will be looking at the book of Acts chapter 2, verse 1-11. Pentecost and the pouring out of the Holy Spirit is finally about spreading the Word about Jesus. The Spirit always points to Jesus and so as marvelous and shocking as the Holy Spirit can be, the point is that the story of Jesus is received.

He will be looking at the book of Romans chapter 8 verses 17-30. As we celebrate the Ascension of Jesus, our passage reminds us that we have hope because God is not only working through us to restore things, but also ensuring its success through the help of the Holy Spirit. Our hope can be confident!

    From Deep Anguish to Divine Connection Pastor Brady Pastoral Intern Brady DeBoer will be leading us in worship. He will present a message focused on 1 Samuel 1:1-20 entitled "From Deep Anguish to Divine Connection.” He will walk us through the story of two rival wives in pain. When both her husband and the high priest fail to comfort her, Hannah finds comfort in her connection with God.
