Superb, Nothing Compares!
I have been a fan of these chaps for awhile, Joey Guida and Scott Wilson take their years of knowledge and expertise on all matter of cinema and execute it well here. Interspersed throughout are audio clips from the films reviewed and other bits of business. Scott Wilson in particular is a talent, unbeknownst to many, Mr. Wilson is a prolific author and has contributed to several publications from some of the greatest authors on the subject in the world today. Joey has a great, soothing voice, and he comes off as a warm person and genuine film buff, he is also very intelligent in his own right and is a master of the production side of things, from the audio to the videostream currently airing on Livestream at 8pm on Thursday evenings. There is simply no other podcast,that covers this topic as well as Joey and Scott. Their banter back and forth regarding films is also a fabulous, if humourous, listen. They are like two brothers or very best friends, who love debating each other. It is also one of the mst organized shows that I have listened to, they rarely stray from their format, and I have always liked the idea of the movie challenges that they give each other each week. They are also kind and compassionate, and are very caring towards their fans. Moviesucktastic is escapism from the everyday, and is good and pure in every way.
Absolutely awesome podcast
I only started listening about a month ago and I've already burned through more than 100 episodes. I love listening to these guys talk about movies. I don't always agree with their opinions but they're very intelligent people and they know what they're talking about.
Excellent Camaraderie!
This podcast is at its most entertaining when Scott and Joey go off on wild tangents spurred by something that's stuck in their craws about the terrible movie they're reviewing. Scott, in particular, is usually good for at least one outraged rant per episode. Their genuine respect and affection for one another is obvious and makes this show a pleasure to watch. The more awful the film, the better, although too often they review movies I secretly love and I'm forced to feel ashamed. Keep up the great work guys!
