There is a natural desire for closure, but sometimes we become so fixated on wanting the closure that we miss out the opportunity that is around us. If we focus on one thing, we might miss some other things. But the opposite might also be true. The question is: what am I craving more? Am I craving more openness and spontaneity, or am I craving more closure and structure? And how do I provide that to myself in the giving situation?     On this episode Ariel and Roger talk about breaking the cycle/pattern of learned helplessness. Learned helplessness is a condition when a person suffers from a sense of powerlessness. It comes from a traumatic event or a persistent failure to succeed. When people feel out of control over the situation, they start feeling helpless and they might overlook an opportunity for a relief or a change. Quote of the week is by Lech Walesa: “It is hardly possible to build anything if frustration, bitterness and a mood of helplessness prevail.”
