Released on Capitol Records, this catchy tune is plucked right from their album *Sometimes You Win*, and boy, did it make waves! This song isn’t just another sweet serenade! It’s a heartwarming song that taps into love and loss. Our lyrical hero is reaching out to a friend who’s been hurt in the game of love. It’s the only Level 42 song to smack right into the top 10 here in the states, reaching an impressive number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 for those glorious weeks of May 31 and June 7, 1986. The song features a blend of Funk and R&B, showcasing the vocal chemistry between the two artists. Both Teena Marie and Rick James were influential figures in the funk and soul music scene during the late 70s and 80s, and their collaborations are well remembered for their energy and catchy melodies. The album Wild and Peaceful was  released by Motown. It features significant contributions from Rick James who produced and wrote the bulk of material as well as providing co-vocals on "I'm a Sucker for Your Love". Even though I haven't been hearing "I'm a Sucker for Your Love" frequently on the radio lately, it certainly hasn't been forgotten online. There's a noticeable audience tuning in to the song, and many people have the vinyl record. Additionally, you can find Teena and Rick delivering a live performance of the song on YouTube. That kind of tune can make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Ann Peebles. She’s got that voice that can stir soul. You know she's singing straight from the heart, pleading for her love to take a leap of faith and commit, to truly make her his. It’s that timeless tale of longing - every note drips with emotion. That jam by Ann Peebles is a deep sound, all about passion and connection. it's like she saying, “Hey there, lover, don't just dance around the feelings - let's make it real and make it ours!”  Do you feel that need for love, that desire to be that special someone for someone special?  Then turn on Ann Peebles and turn up her song Make Me Yours from her album Part-Time Love.  Make Me Yours is a 1967 song written by Betty Swan. The album Dusty in Memphis was released in stereo, though its singles were remixed and released in mono. "Son of a Preacher Man" was Springfield's last Top 30 hit until 1987, when her collaboration with UK synthpop duo the Pet Shop Boys yielded the huge hit "What Have I Done to Deserve This?". "Son of a Preacher Man" found a new audience when it was included on the soundtrack of Quentin Tarantino's 1994 film Pulp Fiction; a re-release of the single reached number one in Iceland in 1995.
