    Ep. 23 - The New Plan for 5G - What do we expect?

    Since the departure of Dan Didio from DC Comics it has been officially stated by Jim Lee, who is currently the Publisher and Chief Creative Officer of DC Comics, that 5G will now be renamed Generation 5 and that the original plans for this new era in the continuity is being replaced with something that will be much more familiar to long time fans. In this episode, Obi and Jack talk about what the original plans were, why it was probably a bad idea, and what they think the best course of action is for the DC universe going forward.

    Ep. 22 - Superman: Red Son - Page vs. Screen

    Superman: Red Son is one of the most popular alternate-reality stories that DC ever published. Originally released as a three issue prestige format comic (Jun '03 – Aug '03), Red Son asked a simple question "what if Superman had been raised in the Soviet Union?". Just as other popular DC stories have made their way to animation over the years, Red Son has now received the same treatment. To celebrate this on MultiVersed, All Bad Jack and Obi Macaroni decided it would be fun to compare both the comic and the movie to see how and why they differ in another segment of Page vs. Screen. For anyone who hasn't read or watched either versions of Superman: Red Son, be warned that this episode contains many spoilers. The animated version of Superman: Red Son was released on February 25th, 2020.

    Ep. 21 - Dan Didio fired, will Marvel buy DC?

    In case you haven't heard already one of the co–publishers of DC Comics, Dan Didio, was fired last week, taking all of DC's employees by surprise. Was Didio really doing that bad of a job? Who will replace him? This has started a lot of talk among fans as to where the future of DC Comics is headed. One of the biggest rumors currently being that Marvel may either begin to publish or outright buy all of DC's characters. Would this be a good thing? Would they unite the two universes? Maybe we have now seen every style of superhero story that there is to tell. Maybe superhero films no longer have the momentum they once had. Are we, as the audience, becoming bored with the same formulaic tropes that the film industry has been feeding us over the last two decades?     Ep. 16 - Tom King's run on Batman

    Following DC's New 52 came Rebirth, which meant there was no better time to start pumping out new number ones for every character and team. Among this new change up of writers, Tom King was handed the reins to Batman, one of DC's flagship characters. This seemed a wise choice as he was an up and coming writer who was gaining a pretty big following over the last couple years. Now Tom King's time on Batman has come to an end and there is a large divide in the reception of this entire volume. Between the fans of Batman, Tom King, and comics in general a controversial question seems to be buzzing around the internet: Was Tom King's run on Batman good?
