A random “Rhoda” search brought me here…

I landed here accidentally thanks to a failed web search for something “Rhoda” related. Totally enjoyed the talk about that series’ pilot episode, as well as the episodes covering Bob Newhart’s “Some Of My Best Friends Are…” and MTM’s “Will Mary Richards Go to Jail?” (hopefully by now the host has tracked down Barbara Colby’s three “Phyllis” appearances…?). This is not lightweight chatter about old sitcoms - it’s thoughtful commentary by the host and his guests on the historical context and cultural significance of noteworthy episodes of classic shows, but with a lighthearted approach. Their love and respect for the art form is abundantly clear. I plan to come back and listen to more.

Still on air

I meant to send a new review—because apparently i can review this as many times as i want—but i resent my original.

My new review is this: Brett White is still on air and going strong even as he is “losing his cool” and i am grateful for his presence.

There is a lot of misery in this world that affects me directly, and i can’t avoid it, and it’s nice to have someplace to recharge.

Thanks

Wonderful podcast

Brett White is a fun podcaster who has a very thorough education on TV history - such a great way to pass the time during this quarantine. The Pride episodes have been fascinating who knew Hayden Rorke, aka Dr. Bellows was such a nice guy in real life.
