The White PillBox

Mark Maresca

It’s easy to be Black Pilled…to believe evil will win. My goal is to show how liberty can win (indeed, is winning), in the real world. And not centuries from now, either. Because there are White Pills out there, and lots of them. Powerful, realistic reasons to have hope. The enemies of liberty want nothing more than for us to get discouraged. Sorry, not on my watch. 1. My fun interview with Tyrone The Porcupine Hobo

My fun interview with Tyrone The Porcupine Hobo

Click here for the video link on YouTube I had a great time conversing with Tyrone the Porcupine Hobo! He talked about his interesting handle, and his backstory as a second generation libertarian born on the day America died (yes, he explains this). He spent some time talking about how he tends to be short-term black pilled, but long-term white pilled. And I take a crack at chipping away at some of those black pills. Tyrone the Porcupine Hobo is the co-host, producer and editor of the Haman Nature show, which can be found on: YouTube, Substack, Rumble, and X. He studied philosophy as an undergraduate, is a former casino marketing executive, was on the editorial board for the Agorist Writers Workshop, a former member of the Libertarian Party of Minnesota executive committee, a published short story author, a freelance audio and video producer, and currently works in finance. He fosters rescue dogs, is a pinball and bowling enthusiast, and a diehard perennially disappointed Vikings football fan. You can reach him at tyrone@hamannature.com Some links to material we covered in this episode: The Remnant, from Isaiah’s Job, by Albert J. Nock. Narrated story of the 20th Century Motor Company, excerpted from Ayn Rand’s “Atlas Shrugged”. Narrated speech of the meaning of money, excerpted from Ayn Rand’s “Atlas Shrugged”. Tyrone kindly references one of my own podcasts where I discuss Tom Woods, Michael Malice, and the majority. ... 2. My interview with Prof. Michael Huemer

My interview with Prof. Michael Huemer

Click here for the video link on YouTube I hope you enjoy my conversation with Professor Michael Huemer as much as I did. If you have not read his book “The Problem of Political Authority”, you’ve missed a baseball bat to the kneecap of the State. It’s basically a take-down of every known philosophical or intellectual justification for statism. If that isn’t enough, the second part of his book explains why a stateless society based on anarcho-capitalistic principles is feasible, and indeed, superior to statism. The general focus of the interview was the psychology of statism. But it led to so many related tangents that it can’t be summarized here. It was a fun ride with a leading advocate of freedom. Prof. Huemer’s bio: Michael Huemer received his BA from UC Berkeley and his PhD from Rutgers University. He is presently professor of philosophy at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is the author of more than 90 academic articles in ethics, epistemology, political philosophy, and metaphysics, as well as about twelve brilliant and amazing books that you should immediately buy, including Knowledge, Reality, and Value (2021), Progressive Myths (2024), and Dialogues on Ethical Vegetarianism (2025). Stephan provides some background that led to the Principles, historical context, use cases, and so much more. As always, Stephan demonstrates why he is a true human White Pill. He even challenged me to White Pill him, on my reasoning behind why true free societies may be coming sooner than we think. Click here for the video link on YouTube Subscribers have wondered how I’m coming along on a simple and clear graphical presentation that consolidates my Myth of Authority masterclass (full series is linked below). I spend most of the episode showcasing some of the material I've developed so far. I go through how you, the user, will be able to navigate dynamically, and get whatever level of detail you like along the way. It should be especially interesting to see how newcomers to the material respond to it. I also take some time to make clear what I mean by the term “White Pill”. I connect it back to the interactive tool as well. Some links to Myth of Authority series topics I mentioned... Click here for the video link on YouTube In this episode I interview the eclectic Adam Haman. Be sure to check out Adam’s prolific work on Substack. And his YouTube channel. Topics from this episode: Stephan Kinsella’s "Against Intellectual Property". And a great companion piece: "Against Intellectual Monopoly" by Boldrin and Levine. Adam’s interview of professional gambler John Pollak, feat. Bob Murphy. The masking of the Vegas Strip’s Statue of Liberty during the height of the COVID hysteria. Hard to believe it actually happened. Like Adam, I’m not over COVID tyranny (the title of his recent Substack article). …which is a good opportunity to mention my own article on COVID, identifying it (yes, even back then) as history’s most extreme example of mass hysteria. Adam and Bob Murphy recently discussed the open borders position with Jacob Hornberger. ...and I asked him how strict libertarian property rights fits in. I intended to reference Patrick Smith's comments in this Anarchast clip. Also… “The Problem of Political Authority” by Michael Huemer (see below). “The Most Dangerous Superstition” by Larken Rose: (see below).
