It followed soon after the public revelations of sexual misconduct allegations against Harvey Weinstein. Emily Richey-Smith of Amirah Boston joins me and Kyra Drescher-Dennis to discuss the #MeToo movement and why we should pay attention to what's going on around us.     When you watch the news and hear about a home ruined by a fire, abusive homes, or even somebody arrested for a drug abuse, have you ever thought about what happens to the kids of the family? They often go into Foster Care. It doesn't make the headlines for the evening news. It's not the sexiest topic to discuss. Foster Care is an afterthought for so many, yet its a structure that has families who are in dire need of our attention, focus, and care. In this episode, Lynnette Lovasco and Kyra Drescher-Dennis sit and talk Foster Care with me. Lynnette has been a foster parent to over 20 children - in the process, she's seen parts of life that many of us don't get to see. Kyra is a Social Worker, and adds a GREAT layer to the entire conversation. It was a joy to be surrounded by these two women.
