Great homebrew resource
I listen to many actual play podcasts, mostly because I understand the settings of the games. But I am developing my own homebrew, and this podcast focuses on how to create and implement an engrossing adventure which is not out of the box. The CRUNCH episodes are the best part, where the crew goes into detail on GMing, playing, and all the little ga-ga which moves a game from good to great.
A quality AP in a sea of meh
I’ve been a fan of Actual Play podcasts for a couple years now. I listen to a few of the “big ones “ regularly and they’re great but I’ve tried listening to so many others that fall flat. Mythos Manual is a fantastic gem that captures everything I want from the medium. Good player chemistry, good characters, interesting choices, unique setting. Plus, it has the more relaxed atmosphere of a home brew. I am also a big fan of the Crunch! Episodes. They shine light on the gears of the game while being fun and relatively brief. Great show. I wish them them the best and look forward to the next one. Thanks Mythos Manual!
All Your Role Playing Podcast Needs In One
As someone who hasn’t played any role playing games in a while, I wasn’t sure how I was going to like this podcast when my friend suggested it to me. However, I immediately fell in love with both the characters and players, and their obvious chemistry. I don’t have a whole lot of time to play anymore, but this podcast scratches that itch for wanting to play. I feel like I’m actually with this group each week as I laugh with them and feel for them through their struggles. Add to that all the behind the scenes info, interviews, and tips for how to create a great home brew, and you get the perfect combination for a great time no matter what you’re looking for. It’s one of the few I’ve listened to from the start, and I truly hope this group stays together for a long time. Keep it up guys it’s so much fun to follow your play!
