Episode 8 - Verna NezBegay, Founder of Native Women Running and her journey to 100 miles

Join me for a short podcast of my almost 100 miler, to be exact it was 94 miles, not 96 miles. As a runner, I don't run to be faster or push for higher mileage. Running has been something that has helped me run in honor of those who I love. My parents and three siblings all have passed away, so I dedicate my running to them. Running has been a healing journey for me. Thank you for listening.

Great podcast

This podcast highlights native runners by letting them tell their stories uninterrupted. It’s amazing hearing about their passion for the sport and how their cultures interweave with it as well! Giving a platform to more native voices is important, and It’s great that the host has done this with Native Runners Podcast! Thank you, and I look forward to future episodes!

This is a YES!

The host does a great job at connecting with the guest and bringing light to these emotional and healing stories. If you're looking for some hidden stories give this one a try. I am looking forward to future episodes and people they will be interviewing!

This is a NO.

The Guests have great stories (as every runner does). But the host cannot engage the listener and fails to bring their stories to life. I see the point they are trying to get across, but as a runner this is a NO. Don't waste your time here. Overtime they will hone their voice but currently, the mood and atmosphere created by this pod is not energetic or attention grabbing.
