Mac Miller, Substance Abuse, And Escapism feat. Jay Parker
What's up, Natives! This week we feature Ameen and good friend Jay Parker in a discussion about substance abuse, emotional authenticity, and escapism, in light of the recent overdose death of rapper Mac Miller. Many times, even as followers of Christ, we experience darkness and depression, putting up masks and platitudes that draw attention away from our deep issues. But our brothers remind us that Jesus longs to sit and weep with us, then dry our eyes and point us to His great work and worth!

What's up, Natives?! This week we are discussing and reacting to the recent Nike Ad featuring Colin Kaepernick and a slew of other athletes, celebrating and affirming his willingness to use his platform as a medium for awareness and changes for social issues. We look at some of the backlash, positive reactions, and straight hatred coming from across the world; even from the church!! So tune in as Jay Parker once again joins Ameen and OV, sharing their perspectives. Let us know what you think!
Pay Your Pastors: A Workman's Worth
What's good, Natives! This week we have a discussion between Ameen and OV, about a controversial topic: money and the church. In particular, salaries and compensation for pastors. Many struggle with thoughts of past and present abuses when it comes to the church and finances, but it is worthy of our scrutiny and understanding. Though an overview, these brothers share Scripture as well as personal experience lending to the weight of office of the pastorate. Join us in the conversation!

A white woman who is woke just recently learning a lot. And yes, feeling lots of shame for white people’s actions over the centuries. Ugh. But I agree, we need to talk about this - never would’ve wanted to before - and using whatever status I have to have the conversation with others is what we are required to do by Jesus. Fight for justice and help the oppressed. ❤️
