    Negative World Podcast 100 - Extra Life

    Today marks a very special day in negative world podcast History. It marks the Special 100th episode In the podcast! Stephen (drfinkelstein) is joined by his podcast co-host as usual, joe (ninsage). To celebrate the milestone, He and ninsage Elected to do a bit of a clip show. Lame in some circles but not here! A Selection of over Ten episodes are used to tell a bit of Podcast history and to remember some Of the good times the show has seen over the many many Days the show has been on the air. Could this be the longest podcast yet? Almost. Short by just a Tidbit. Topics include but are not limited to,… How the podcast got started And gaming during the first Negative world meet-up in new york. Kicking butt in Some multiplayer action was had. Fink's first full On hosting gig is Revealed as well for those users whose memories of it may have escaped them. Listen to the gang have high hopes for an Interesting idea when miiverse Set The stage for an Entirely New way to Interact. Now miiverse is essentially Gone and it's interesting to hear where our minds were when it first was releasing. -------------------------------------------------------- There's a new segment for every set of 10 or so episodes with a few special surprises in there. (Who remember's the Super Mario Bros. Super Show theme we recorded or when we recorded from the tarmac? Ninsage and DrFinkelstine reminisce for a few hours, referencing current Nintendo News of the time, and then wrap things up with a rather important finale. You'll hear from over fifteen guests from over the years in this expansive episode. A big thank you to all the people who have ever helped out with the podcast and made it to where it is with this episode. Your efforts have always been appreciated and this blast through the past only solidifies that even further. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as we did while making it. It was a took some time to get produced… THANKS ZELDA! hrumpf! ;) There isn't much use to trying to cite each game referenced in this one but I will say that Ninsage chose the music and it is grand. I'll leave it to you to find out what that big 100th episode ditty is. Thanks for Zero for the podcast opening and closing credits sequence.     Negative World Podcast 099 - BLASTphemy

    In essentially the sequel to Episode 98, Stephen (DrFinkelstein) hosts solo in a show all about the Nintendo Switch! This episode features a guest who hasn't been on in years! That guest would be JK (J.K. Riki). With him is a classic podcast guest, Jamie (PogueSquadron)! At the top of the show the gang discusses the Nintendo Switch Presentation overall and then dive into the console design. This leads into the play modes, the controller's technology, and the relevancy of the Pro-Controller. In the second segment they cover a slew of Nintendo Switch titles, particularly and mostly ones not mentioned in the last episode. Some of the more notable titles mentioned are, 1-2 Switch, Snipperclips, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Xenoblade 2, the new Dragon Quest games, Super Bomberman R, and Sonic Mania. It's the third segment where the likes of Splatoon 2, Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild get discussed!     Negative World Podcast 098 - Schrodinger's Joy-Con

    Happy New Year faithful listeners! Joe (Ninsage) and Stephen (DrFinkelstein) are back for more! 2017 has already brought a lot of change and more is yet to come. One of the most notable changes is the change in the console cycle for Nintendo, with the Nintendo Switch. We're here to talk about it, and there is a LOT to discuss. This episode features long-time guests of the show, Grant (GameDadGrant) and Paleo_Steno for a two-hour evaluation of the Nintendo Switch and it's games. In the first segment the gang discusses the overall presentation, the Joy-Con controllers, the Online Services shown so far, and the rather ingenious Parental Controls App Nintendo is developing. In the second and third segments of the show, it's all about the games.     Negative World Podcast 097 - A Premise and a Promise

    The jolly red man is back! Here's the second episode of tonight's Christmas Eve releases! I'm jolly, wearing red, and I come bearing gifts! Here is the first of two episodes releasing tonight. We recorded this episode earlier this week and it was quite a treat. Paul (Ploot), Dave (BeardedNerd), Joe (Ninsage), and Stephen (DrFinkelstein) put their focus towards the Wii U to have a bit of a retrospective using the framework of 'Four Distinct Questions'. Nearly twenty games get their due as the gang recants what makes the Wii U a console to remember (or occasionally forget). With the Switch releasing in just a couple of months we pondered if the Wii U will go down in infamy as a remembered gem like the Dreamcast or if it will be deemed more forgettable than that. What games were our favorites? Which games were the black sheeps? Which games did we miss out on? Which games would we urge get played before the Switch releases? This is what drove the conversation, and what a stellar conversation it was. Super Mario Maker, Nintendo Land, Wii Sports Club, Splatoon, ZombiU, Bayonetta 2, and so much more are discussed inside.     Negative World Podcast 095 - Mall Lemmings

    Happy Thanksgiving to our American listeners and Happy November to everyone else! We've got just the audible treat for those with some free time this weekend! It's episode 95, Mall Lemmings! Inside you'll start with Joe (Ninsage) and Stephen (DrFinkelstein) discussing what they've been playing as of late. Joe just wrapped up Chibi Robo: Zip Lash. Learn how he found a way to enjoy it! Then he describes how he's enjoying the co-op mode in the Wii U hit, Yoshi's Woolly World. Lastly, It was a bit too premature to discuss some Pokemon Sun and Moon but Joe does have quite an intriguing tale to tell regarding his midnight launch for the game. Afterwards, Stephen divulges more about what draws in him into Paper Mario: Color Splash now that he's really had his time to sink his teeth into it. He's also been playing some Picross 3D Round 2… probably a good thing for a Picross-maniac like him. The duo discuss some quick My Nintendo woes before taking a quick break. Upon their return, the guys tackle this week's main topic. "Making Time For Gaming In Your Adult Life". How do they manage it? How could they manage it better?     Negative World Podcast 094 - A Pot Of Rupees Is Waiting For You

    Nintendo finally did it… they finally revealed the 'NX'… and Negative World is here to talk about it! In this episode you'll find that Joe (Ninsage) and Stephen (DrFinkelstein) are joined by the one, the only, Anand (Anand)! The episode begins with a saturated 'Now Playing' segment as each game discussed turned into a broader franchise discussion. Games discussed were Mario Golf: World Tour and other Mario Sports titles, Destiny (Xbox), The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD and other Zelda games in that style, Paper Mario: Color Splash and the Paper Mario series… and finally SteamWorld Heist on Wii U. After the break the gang gets in to a detailed and lengthy discussion about Nintendo's Switch console which is coming in March 2017. Nintendo is aiming to keep their promise and the trio examine the system from the design, to the promotion, to the games Nintendo hinted at, and much more! The hype is real!     Negative World Podcast 093 - Stomping Like Koopzilla

    Earlier this October, DrFinkelstein took a short drive over to the Ploot household for a day of gaming. This time, he brought the podcast microphone! Due to scheduling and technical hurdles Joe sits this episode out but inside you'll find a good 88-minutes of Nintendo talk from assorted Negative Worlders! On the show there's Paul (Ploot), Dave (BeardedNerd), Trish (TK_Thunder), Erika (EponaEatsCarrots), and of course Stephen (DrFinkelstein). After announcing what they're drinking the crew goes 'round the room and discusses what games they've been playing lately. You'll hear discussion on games such as Kirby Triple Deluxe, Pokemon Go, Yokai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls, Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations, Mario Bros., and Ice Climber. There's also broader discussion on different franchises like Pokemon and Professor Layton. Since Dave didn't get to vote in any of the Super Smash Bros. Character Bracket, and since the Nintendo Switch hadn't been revealed yet, the gang discusses Super Smash Bros for Wii U in great length.
