Literally just put our beloved make Pekingese ‘down’ this morning I lieu of a large mass in his intestines. We’ve had him since he was four months old and is 14 1/2. Thank you for the work you’re doing. -Monique
Eternally grateful for this podcast
I had to put my cherished dog down this past week and it was the most gut wrenching thing I ever went through. Although it was a beautiful thing, I couldn’t see it as such and was in deep despair that I couldn’t shake. I found this podcast and listened to several episodes and felt more at ease and felt seen and heard in this experience. It also in a way gave me more permission to grieve as hard as i needed to. Then today I listened to a couple, one by a veterinarian who talked about her work with euthanasia at home, which was what we did, and it just all clicked. I went from trauma of the experience to reality of the beauty and love of not only my dogs life but the end as well. I can now think and talk about his life and death without despair and I am eternally grateful.
