If you're in the Naples, FL. area, and you're looking for a place to come where everyone is truly made to feel welcome, then come check out New Hope on Davis Blvd.
Pastor Grant is an honest broker of biblical teachings, and his sermons are well researched. He does the courtesy of telling you the who, what, where, when, why and how he comes to his conclusions. He also tells you that your journey is different than his. He is quite charming, not afraid to tell a joke from the pulpit, and pokes fun at himself too. He'll also give you the book, chapter and verse of where he's preaching from, before he starts, so that you can follow along.
Fair warning though - don't expect cookie cutter services, and don't be surprised if you get your nose out of joint because it feels like one of the pastors is talking directly to you at some point.
The adult worship service (the band and chorus) before the sermons are very good too. Pastor Heath does a really nice job of blending traditional and modern music into the services. If you don't know the music or lyrics, check out the church's web site ahead of time, and the lyrics are usually on one of three big screens.
Many people bring their own bible, and or a note pad; and some folks have bibles on their phones or tablets to follow along. Don't worry if you forget yours, there are bibles in the sanctuary that you can borrow, or you can buy one from the book store just before, or just after the services.
If you don't leave feeling better than you did when you walked in the door - whose fault is that?
Come with an open mind, leave with a warm heart.
