The Journey: Part 5 | It's Not Yours

Are you a manager or an owner? In this message, Pastor Brandon Woodard continues "The Journey" series by tackling a topic that often makes us uncomfortable: Money. By looking at the Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25, we discover that as disciples of Jesus, we are called to be stewards of God's resources. True stewardship means shifting our mindset from personal ownership to Kingdom management—using what we have to love people and push back darkness. 📍 Key Takeaways: Character & Calling: Your calling will never outpace your character. The Principle of Effort: God doesn't care about the amount; He cares about the action you take with what you've been given. The Manager Mindset: "You don't own it." Everything we have belongs to God. The Strategy: Love people, use money. 🎥 Video Chapters [00:01] - Welcome & Service Intro [01:08] - Church Announcements (Kids Team, Missions, App Setup) [04:13] - Sermon Start: The Journey / Stewardship [06:50] - Review: 5 Marks of a Disciple [09:12] - Why money is part of your relationship with God [11:20] - The Kingdom of Heaven: "There Then" vs "Here Now" [13:20] - Scripture Reading: Matthew 25:14–30 (Parable of the Talents) [16:45] - Why character must match your calling [20:55] - Why effort matters more than the amount [22:45] - The danger of "playing it safe" with God's resources [28:35] - The Mindset Shift: "You Don't Own It" [31:30] - Kingdom Investing: Love People, Use Money [34:00] - Practical Application: Give First, Save Second, Live on the Rest [36:10] - Next Steps: Financial Peace University (FPU) [39:00] - Compassion International: Child Sponsorship Opportunity [46:50] - Closing Prayer & Response Next Steps Download the App: Search "Church Center" and select New Post Church for all sign-ups and calendars. The Journey: Part 4 | Who is Your ONE?

What if the thing you’re most afraid to talk about is the thing someone you know desperately needs to hear? We talk about everything else—sports, politics, our jobs, and what we’re binge-watching on Netflix. But often, the one thing that has made the biggest difference in our lives—our faith—is the one thing we keep to ourselves. Why do we stay silent when we might actually have the "cure" for the struggles our friends and family are facing? In this message, Brandon Woodard dives into Luke 15 to look at the Parable of the Lost Sheep. We often think of God as someone who simply waits for us to come back, but Jesus shows us a God who actively pursues the one who is lost. In this video, we discuss: Overcoming the fear of being "that person" or being rejected. Why you don’t need to have all the answers to share your hope. The radical truth that God rejoices over one person finding their way home. How to live an "attractive life" that draws others toward Jesus. 📍 THE CHALLENGE Who is your ONE? Who is the one person you are praying for, hoping for, and believing God for? Write their name down, keep it in your prayer space, and watch what God does. 🚀 WE’RE HIRING! We are looking for a Kids Team Director! If you’re a leader who is passionate about helping kids discover Jesus and building a thriving volunteer culture, we want to meet you. The Journey: Part 3 | Serve

We all love the idea of being a servant, but most of us struggle with the reality of being treated like one. In Part 3 of our series, The Journey, Pastor Brandon Woodard gets honest about the one marker of a disciple that challenges us the most: Serving Others. It’s easy to surrender when it feels like a rescue, and it’s exciting to grow through study—but serving requires us to kill our ego every single day. We often want to be the most recognized but the least inconvenienced. We do an internal calculation of time, money, and bandwidth, asking, "Is the juice worth the squeeze?" In this message, we look at how Jesus flipped the pyramid of power. From the "insensitive" request of James and John in Mark 10 to the scandalous moment in the Upper Room where the most powerful person in the room traded His robe for a towel, Jesus shows us that in His kingdom, the way up is actually down. Are you ready to stop protecting your position and start practicing your purpose? Message Highlights: [08:46] The Internal Calculation: Why we hesitate to serve and the "recognition vs. inconvenience" struggle. [12:00] The Insensitive Request: Understanding James and John’s desire for the "left and right hand" seats. [18:20] Confidence as a Prerequisite: Why you can't truly serve others until you have confidence in who God called you to be. [20:43] The Scandal of the Towel: Why washing feet was a job reserved for the "lowest" person—and why Jesus did it anyway. [26:41] Serving the Betrayer: The significance of Jesus washing the feet of Judas. [30:00] The "Knowing" Gap: Why the blessing isn't in knowing the Word, but in doing it. The Towel Challenge: If you’re a disciple of Jesus, you are called to be a participant in the mission, not just a spectator in the house. This week, find a place for your "towel"—on your desk, your dashboard, or your mirror—as a daily reminder that you are called to serve first. Next Steps: Join a Team: Ready to move from a "volunteer" to a "servant"? Check out the open positions (including our New Post Kids Director role) on the app. Team Night: Join the family on Jan 25th!
