Pregnant and new mommas: subscribe to all new Mommy media podcasts

When I was pregnant I wanted to learn as much as possible and I found the Preggie Pals podcast. I binge listened to all of them. Once I had my baby and returned back to work I was craving a connection and something and someone to relate to and all of the other New Mommy Media podcasts helped get me through. They gave me a release and reassurance and gave me a way to relate to other mommas and their experiences. There is a definite pattern to all of the episodes that you get used to after a few listens. The only reason I doc a star is because sometimes the transition into an ad is abrupt and startling.

Thought this was useful but...

I’m an expecting father and have started listening to prepare myself. This podcast seemed pretty legit and packed with information, but then they bring in a question from a listener about taking their child to a chiropractor for reflux or colic. To answer they had a chiropractor recommend chiropractics. Chiropractors are not doctors nor should anyone be allowed to adjust an adults’ or infants’ bodies. The largest study on chiropractics showed 70% of patients reported increased pain or additional injury after chiropractics. This is simply not information anyone should be passing along for infant care.

I’m sure everyone will just equate this review to my non experience as a parent. To each their own, but I’ll be finding another podcast

So many commercials and unrelated topics in the beginning.
