Golden nugget surrounded by too much fluff

I love listening to the professionals and the panels take about their experience. I’m so thankful to have a family of podcasts to help me prepare for all stages of parenthood. The speakers are non-judgmental and realistic. I also think the headline segment and “baby oops” segments are very interesting/timely.
I usually skip forward to about the 10 minute mark. Things like ads, app reviews, and small talk beforehand drive me crazy. This is only a 30 minute show - the agenda needs to be trimmed WAY down. I can’t stand when I’m listening to a 5 minute segment only to realize at the end that it’s promoting a product I’m not going to buy.
Despite this, I’ve listened to a lot of postnatal podcasts and this is by far my favorite. When it comes to the topic at hand, it has a good balance of professional and personal advice. I feel much better prepared for what is to come.

Meh...

I think this is somewhat helpful but not extremely. It is basically them getting opinions and people who specialize in the opinion to come on and tell you why you should do that thing but none of it is actually evidence based. It’s all anecdotal. So, if you want to listen to reviews of different methods, this could be helpful. If you want real guidance, it’s not the podcast for that.

Thanks goodness for Newbies

I am 33 weeks pregnant and didn’t find Newbies until about half through my pregnancy. I love that they don’t act as “experts” just real moms experiencing real things and sharing their stories. Then they bring in experts where needed.

Wish I would have found them earlier on!
