    We're Old... I Year Old

On this week’s episode we go to Minneapolis where the trial for former police officer Dereke Chauvin continues. On Wednesday, Dr. David Fowler testified to the court and came to the conclusion that George Floyd, who died after Chauvin kneeled on his neck for over nine minutes, died of a cardiac event. Also on episode 41, wildlife journal. A team of researchers have discovered that baby sea stars eat each other in acts of cannibalism. Elsewhere on the show, the Johnson and Johnson vaccine’s distribution campaign is paused in the US after the CDC and FDA decide to review the vaccine. This comes after 6 people contracted blood clots because of the vaccine. It’s our one year anniversary here at News Nerds. News Nerds launched its first ever episode on April 12th of 2020. More exciting news to be announced regarding that in the next two weeks.

    Blacklisted With Tony Kahn

    Blacklisted With Tony Kahn

    Hello,

This week I interview Tony Kahn. You might know him as a panelist from NPR's Says You! He has also produced numerous other works for public radio including Blacklisted. Gordon Kahn, Tony's father was blacklisted by Hollywood after he was accused of being part of the communist party. When this happened, the US government was much more Republican. Tony and the rest of his family had to flee to Mexico while being under FBI surveillance. He talks to me about his experience on Says You!, his father Gordon Kahn, and making one of the first podcasts in 2004! Also, Trump has been acquitted for the second time. We will have a special report there. Listen now.

Please leave us a review on Apple podcasts. It's as easy as going to the Podcasts app and letting us know what you think. We love your input.

    Thanks,

    Ezra
