37 - Energizing Winter: Herbs, Human Design & Rest

Hear from energy practitioner and bioregional herbalist Ina Claggette about aligning personal energy with natural seasons, particularly winter's call for rest, restoration, and inward reflection. Ina explains her work blending human design, astrology, numerology, and local herbalism to help people show up authentically, using "weeds" and backyard plants as seasonal medicine for nutrition, energy, and healing. We discuss winter energetics (Capricorn earth, Aquarius air, Pisces water), lacking fire, and practical ways to add it via root vegetables, warming teas/spices like ginger, gentle walks, candles, or sun exposure to prevent depression without disrupting rest. We even cover homeschooling and how Human design ties in by using your child's type to create strategies—like gamifying tasks (timers, obstacle courses, balloons) and avoid burnout. New Year's resolutions get reframed: reflect on past patterns, align with heart desires, use moon cycles (new moon intentions, quarter check-ins) and quarterly planning over rigid yearly goals, plus numerology shifts from 2025's year nine (snake, shedding) to 2026's year one (horse, fresh starts). Learn to trust nature's cues (hibernating trees/animals), avoiding hustle culture, and living intentionally for easier parenting, wellness, and flow. Get Ina's free Winter Guide (It's so good!). It has all the ways to connect with Ina, too.  If something in this episode resonated, I'd love to stay connected. 🤍 Explore Root to Rise — my self-paced mini course using Human Design to reveal your core wound and clarify your purpose: wild-rooted.com/root-to-rise 🤍 Get your free Human Design chart  🤍 Come say hello over at wild-rooted.com 🤍 Follow me on Instagram: @bewildandrooted 🤍 Work with me: wild-rooted.com/human-design-sessions
