It definitely helped me build confidence in listening. I just listened to the last episode in which you decided to take a pause and focus on other priorities. I’ve been listening to Miku’s podcasts for a couple of years now, and it’s been fantastic for shadowing practice! I would recommend this for intermediate/advanced speakers who want to improve in conversational Japanese. It’s not just helpful for language learning, but honestly great for self improvement as well. The topics are always wholesome and uplifting. I’ll also put in a quick plug for her podcast transcript subscription. I just started paying for it, and it’s been an absolute game changer! Great for vocab and grammar.

Miku Sensei’s sense as a teacher is incredible. You’re going to love it. That’s it. To say more, her style of teaching has helped me personally on my adventure. I studied hard, but of course I needed a natural speaker to shadow and to get ideas about directions to wander in my study. Through following lots of Miku sensei’s work, I was able to meet a Japanese monk, become a monk myself, and then train in zen monasteries—100% in japanese—for two years. Now I work in a countryside temple where I have to talk with people 100% in japanese. Even though I am not finished studying with Miku Sensei, because of her teaching I am confident enough to solve all my problems and have all my basic daily conversations. My gratitude is a mountain!
