Chris Harrison is no longer the host of the bachelor! What are the statistics for sexual violence and sexual harassment in the UK vs Japan? Is there any difference? Also, Joseph talks about how his rebel personality sometimes gets in the way of doing what's good for him.

Scantily clad British people & our weekend in Wales

We start the episode with a discussion about the different dress codes in the UK vs Japan, and how British people seem to be able to live more freely.
We then go into our weekend in Wales - our thoughts on Cardiff, hiking the highest peak in south Wales, and our disappointing castle visit.

Food Memories, Workout Challenge, George Floyd

Food Memories, Workout Challenge, George Floyd

It's been one year since George Floyd's death. We talk about what has changed in the past year, and what we think is to come. We then share an update on Joseph's 6:30 AM workout challenge (spoiler alert: it's not going well).
We also take a trip down "food memory" lane, where we recall meals/food that signify different stages of our lives.

    Are protests meaningless?

    Are protests meaningless?

We start the episode by talking about our one-week challenge. In order to kick-start healthier habits for Joseph, we are waking up at 6:30 AM every day this week to work out. This leads into a discussion about purpose, and whether one's sense of purpose/passion changes over time.

Given all the protests and demonstrations going on around the world for various issues, we also discuss the purpose of protests, and if they are worth engaging in.

Joseph shares a French idiom about swollen ankles.

Getting birth control in the UK vs Japan // Things that only exist in the UK

Spring is slooowly springing in the UK, finally! We start the episode by talking about sex education in Japan, and my different experiences getting the birth control pill in Japan vs the UK.

We then dive into some of the things we didn't know about until moving here-- types of food, grammar rules, and everyday items. I'm curious, how many of these did you already know about?

    Learning to speak Global English

We open the podcast with a discussion about sharing on social media. How do you strike the balance between creating a connection with an audience and oversharing?

We then dive into a discussion on global English, and the unexpected difficulties English speakers face when working with a global team. Joseph also shares his experiences as a French English speaker in the corporate world.

Looking forward to more episodes!

So glad to hear that more podcasts is a goal for 2020, love listening! So relatable, feels like chatting with a friend, and hearing about life in Japan is fascinating.

I’m listening!!!

I look forward to whenever Anna releases a new episode because I can really relate to her as a twenty-something trying to figure her life out. I loved following her adventures in Southeast Asia and she had super helpful travel tips that I’m sure will be useful on my own RTW trip!

To Anna, if you’re reading - don’t give up on the podcast! I work at a boring 9-5 and just listening to your podcast and stories brings a smile to my face and brightens up my otherwise miserable day. Keep doing what you’re doing!
