No Effects with Jesse Cohen

I don't listen to every show, but should. Those that I do are very open, intimate, and frank conversations with artists and bands.

I was excited to find many of my musical hero’s were interviewed on this show. Jesse does a good job at making his guests feel comfortable but I can’t help feeling frustrated that he only seems to want to talk about touring and record labels. You would think that a podcast where a musician interviews other musicians would have insight into their creative process and how they actually make their music but they very rarely discuss this. I know the show has been gone for a while but Jesse, please ask these creative geniuses more about their creative process since that is what we all dying to know!

Jesse is an incredible interviewer and each episode is a wonderful trip through the guest’s life and career. Hear how your favorite artists got their start, the name of their high school band, how their first tour went, and what they think about the state of the music industry compared to when they first started. I can’t recommend this enough, stop reading this review and start listening! Six stars!
