Are you an ethical and mindful consumer? with Jo Mantzou

[Video Podcast Available on Spotify & YouTube] My sister, Jo, is back to chat with me about mindful consumerism.  We unpack the different terms of slow, vegan, and sustainable fashion. Something that should get ALL of us thinking. Each and every one of us are consumers of products and our everyday decisions can have a huge impact. Here's some of the companies and organizations we are referring to during the episode: www.degrwear.com @dgrwear https://www.fashionrevolution.org/ https://ellenmacarthurfoundation.org/ https://sustainablefashiontoolkit.com/https://libguides.library.kent.edu/c.php?g=278009&p=1853571 Ioanna's passions have always been building communities, cultivating a sustainability mindset, and developing talent. When she was 15 years old she made it her life's mission to share her knowledge with her peers, so she founded a student organization called "NGSW", New Generation Sustainable World in Greece, which was the beginning of her entrepreneurial journey. Fascinated by the complexity of human interactions she got her Bachelor's in Psychology and Communications from St. Lawrence '20 and her Master's in Strategic Management from Pace University '22. She is currently the Chief of Staff and VP of Client Enablement at Aptivio, a B2B SaaS startup that aims to democratize access to Revenue AI. How to practice courage and growth? with Ahmed Soliman

[Video Podcast Available on Spotify & YouTube] "As You Are" - In this episode, we talk about the idea of recognizing where we are at any giving moment and how we can work with that. It is a solo practice that encourages us to look within. It requires work and commitment to personal growth in order to accept who we are BUT how do we find who we really are? Ahmed Soliman @yogisoli, a NYC yoga teacher, joins us and shares some great tips on how to practice courage and growth while truly accepting and embracing ourselves. Ahmed Soliman began his professional life as a wildlife biologist and environmental scientist. Serving the natural environment and helping to recover endangered species was his way of giving to a greater good. This is a concept that he carries daily into his yogic lifestyle, both in teaching and in practice, seeking to serve the community in a way that supports strength, healing, and sustainability. He also brings his science background to his students through yoga retreats in locations that provide the incomparable forces of nature as a backdrop to our yoga journeys.
