We touch on the current situation in Cyrpus and what has been done about it, as well as some typical measures to promote greater representation. We discuss how we can use our privilege to raise other people's voices and how people in power can open up spaces for young activists and underrepresented people. Together with Kiriaki Lambrianidou and Xenia Evangelou, we discussed how the victim support system, despite its flaws and failings, is trying to improve and provide better support and protection to victims. We touched on how the ratification of the Istanbul Convention propelled changes in the legislation on gender-based violence, the guests' opinions about the attitudes of the police and the judicial system towards victims, and the influence of society's conservative values in the practices of professionals in this system.1 More episodes and podcasts at www.blacklemon.tv
