Nobody Knows Anything

Narrowcast Media

Rob Flaherty and Jesse Lehrich, both veterans of Presidential campaigns, host a twice weekly live show about the news, politics, and our stupid, broken political system. An insiders show for outsiders, they'll look at the polling, prediction markets, and DC conventional wisdom about who's wrong (and it will often be them).  It's a show for people who love politics but hate themselves.  Coming April 12th, new episodes on Monday and Friday mornings.

The DNC "autopsy" has come out. It was bad. Should we fire the DNC chair? (with Ro Khanna)

Not to say we were right....but we were right. The DNC autopsy was actually just too bad to put out. And rather than doing anything about it, Ken Martin just hit the ball for months. Not good.  We discuss the DNC autopsy report, dive in more on Rob's experience of speaking with the team behind it, and tick through our favorite DNC annotations of it. Then we ask the big question: Should Ken Martin go?  Then, Congressman Ro Khanna joins us for a wide-ranging interview. We talk about Ken Martin, the autopsy, and also Artificial Intelligence and the Trump administrations now-phony change of heart on regulations.  Finally: Addisu Demissie joins the pod to talk about all things California politics. Tom Steyer and Xaxier Becerra trading blows, Katie Porter dunking on her kids, and why Nancy Pelosi got involved in the house race to replace her.  Plus: Gavin Newsom. That guy's running for President. Addisu used to manage his campaign, so we get the inside scoop.  00:00:20 - The Autopsy Autopsy00:10:43 - Best Annotations00:22:56 - Should Ken Go?00:26:41 - Special Guest Ro Khanna00:50:30 - Special Guest Addisu Demissie00:52:36 - California Governor's Race01:05:00 -- Hey Gavin Newsom is Running for President, Yeah?Subscribe to the Nobody Knows Anything Youtube Channel  Follow Nobody Knows Anything on Instagram.  Follow Nobody Knows Anything on Twitter (X??) May 18, 2026: Is Graham Platner's downward mobility a feature or a bug? Plus: Kash Patel goes Snorkeling, Tom Steyer Pays Influencers, and Trump Flexes his Muscle over the GOP

Well, it was a pretty big weekend. The New York Times reported on Kash Patel's big snorkel trip, (but said it was to prepare for adversaries attacking). Needless to say, we had a little fun with that. But the big discussion for this episode was about 2026 dyanmics: Trump flexing his muscle over his GOP enemies between Bill Cassidy over the weekend and Thomas Massie on Tuesday. We talk about what the former means for the latter.  We also talk about Graham Platner's big interview in the Maine Senate race. There's a lot of discussion about whether or not Graham Platner really is working class -- or whether his middle class upbringing disqualifies him from being working class now.  Plus: Lots of debate about the ethics of paying influencers, particularly with Tom Steyer in California. Rob's paid an influencer or two in his day, and talks about the evolving and curious ethics of paid influence on campaigns.  All of that and more on Nobody Knows Anything! 00:00:58 - Kash Patel Snorkel00:10:30 - 2026 Whiparound00:30:33 - Paid Influencers00:39:56 - 2028 Whiparound00:52:34 - White House Ballroom00:55:36 - AI is pretty unpopular Subscribe to the Nobody Knows Anything Youtube Channel  Follow Nobody Knows Anything on Instagram.  Follow Nobody Knows Anything on Twitter (X??)
