EP 22: From War to Wealth: Aaliyah Bennett on Resilience, Real Estate, and Doing Hard Things

In this episode of the Nomad CEO Podcast, I sit down with Aaliyah Bennett — a 20-year military veteran turned real estate entrepreneur — and her story honestly challenged the way I think about resilience. From serving in the Iraq War to accidentally stepping into real estate, Aaliyah built a diverse portfolio across rentals, flips, and commercial properties — all rooted in one belief: you can do hard things. In This Episode, We Cover: Her transition from the military and healthcare into real estate How buying one townhome led to multiple income streams The mindset shift that builds real resilience Why forgiveness is key to freedom and growth Lessons from the military that shaped her discipline and thinking Becoming a critical thinker in a world full of noise Her upcoming book on simplifying real estate for everyday people This conversation reminded me that strength isn’t just built in business — it’s built in the moments where you choose to keep going when everything in you wants to quit. If you’re in a hard season right now, this episode will meet you there — and push you forward.   Connect with Aaliyah Bennett Instagram: @somethingdifferentaleah   Enjoying the conversation?Stay connected & join the movement: 📍 Follow Kens (Host) IG: https://www.instagram.com/nomad_ceo_/ LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/mckensie-stanton-765299325 🌍 World Changers: https://www.instagram.com/worldchangers.me/ ⚡ Elite Edge: https://www.instagram.com/elite_edge___/  📘 Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61586444813911 🎧 Available now on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, & YouTube

EP 21: Bulimia, Body Image, & Building Bodies

In this solo episode of the Nomad CEO Podcast, I’m sharing my full health journey — the messy, obsessive, painful, & redemptive parts of it. I grew up finding comfort in food, struggled with body image from a young age, & eventually fell into a binge-purge cycle & exercise addiction in college. At 19, I walked into my first 12-step meeting. Years later, I was diagnosed with bulimia. That diagnosis didn’t define me — it gave me a path forward. Here’s what I’ve learned after 13 years as a trainer & nutrition coach working with over 1,000 clients: In This Episode, I Share: How my childhood shaped my relationship with food The performance-driven identity that fueled my eating disorder The moment I decided I wasn’t going to let my health control my life How I rebuilt self-trust with simple daily habits Why health is a three-legged stool: mental, physical, & relational How to stop being a victim to your body & start becoming a lifelong learner My belief is simple: health is the foundation that fuels your ambition. My goal is to help you build a body that keeps up with the life you’re called to lead. I also share more about my 8-month program, Earn Your Edge, & why this next season of the podcast will include more honest conversations about health.   Enjoying the conversation?Stay connected & join the movement: 📍 Follow Kens (Host) IG: https://www.instagram.com/nomad_ceo_/ LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/mckensie-stanton-765299325 🌍 World Changers: https://www.instagram.com/worldchangers.me/ ⚡ Elite Edge: https://www.instagram.com/elite_edge___/  📘 Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61586444813911    🎧 Available now on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, & YouTube

EP 20: From Abandonment to Belonging: Aura Hosu on Family, Purpose, and Changing Lives in Romania

In this episode of the Nomad CEO Podcast, I sit down with Aura Hosu inside Cǎminul Felix in Oradea, Romania - a place that completely shifted my perspective on family, purpose, & what it means to truly impact lives. Aura, a foster parent & one of 12 siblings herself, shares how her upbringing shaped her calling to serve vulnerable children. Together with her husband - who was once an orphan raised in the same village - they now raise & mentor their own three children along with 8 other children who’ve experienced deep trauma, abandonment, & poverty.   In This Episode, We Cover: The mission behind Cǎminul Felix & how it creates real family environments Aura’s story growing up in a big, love-filled but humble home What it’s like raising children from hard, traumatic backgrounds Powerful success stories of kids who became athletes, doctors, & leaders Why identity is not defined by your past Simple ways anyone can get involved - time, skills, or support This conversation grounded me. EP 19: Why I Don’t Believe Everyone Should Be on Social Media

In this episode of the Nomad CEO Podcast, I share my honest relationship with social media & why I chose to delete it long before building publicly again. I talk about walking away in 2016 after realizing that comparison was quietly draining my confidence, joy & sense of self. Leaving social media was not about hiding; it was about getting healthy. I came back years later, only when I could show up from alignment, not validation. What I cover: • Why comparison is a signal, not a flaw • How stepping away created clarity, confidence, & connection • Replacing consumption with intention • Building real relationships without a platform • Returning to social media from wholeness, not need • Using social media as a tool, not a weapon Things I said in this episode: • If you are thinking about deleting social media, it is worth it • You have to add something life-giving when you remove something draining • I only came back when I no longer needed validation • I care more about connection than followers • Social media should serve your life, not run it I also share practical shifts that supported me • Replacing scrolling with books & intentional learning • Creating a private connection through shared photo streams • Choosing an in-person connection over an online presence • Setting boundaries with guard rails to protect focus & energy This episode is for anyone questioning their relationship with social media & ready to rebuild it from clarity, purpose, & self-trust.   Hey, consider this your "stop doomscrolling" invite. EP 18: Caleb Strauss on Intercultural Leadership, Redemptive Coaching, and Building Coaching Cultures

In this episode of the Nomad CEO Podcast, I sit down with my friend & coach, Caleb Strauss — one of the most genuine leaders I know. From growing up in Kazakhstan as a third-culture kid to serving refugees in Greece, Caleb’s life has been shaped by bridging cultures & asking deeper questions. We talk about leadership, identity, & what it really takes to create transformation — not just in business, but in people. In This Episode, We Cover: Growing up between cultures & how it shaped his calling The three cultural worldview drivers: innocence-guilt, honor-shame, & power-fear What redemptive coaching actually means (& how it creates lasting change) Helping founders shift from doing everything to building coaching cultures The root struggles leaders face — people-pleasing, control, & misaligned priorities Serving refugees in Lesvos, Greece, & the difference between “red line” & “green line” work A simple communication litmus test: Is this right? Is this honoring? Is this empowering? MAR 11

EP 17: Take Your Power Back, Reclaim Your Energy, Identity & Authority

In this episode of the Nomad CEO Podcast, I’m inviting you to take your power back in your relationships, health, business & life. This is a conversation I care deeply about because real-world change always starts internally. I share how daily renewal of the mind rewires the brain & why lasting change comes from what you consistently think, believe & apply. At World Changers, we believe changing the world starts by changing yourself. What we dive into: • What personal power actually is your gifting energy & sense of self • Why mentally strong people do not give their power away • How insecurity, scarcity & lack quietly steal your power • The difference between awareness & blame • Why your power is always your responsibility • How small internal shifts compound into massive life change Things I said in this episode: • Taking your power back starts with awareness, not shame • Power is your energy, your authenticity & your brilliance • Playing small does not serve the world • When you give your power away, you disconnect from who you really are • You cannot change the world if you are disconnected from yourself I also walk through a simple process to reclaim your power: 1. Identify your power 2. Notice when you lost it 3. Understand how & why it happened 4. Release blame & victimhood 5. Choose responsibility & awareness 6. Reclaim your energy & step back into who you were created to be This episode is for anyone ready to stop shrinking, stop outsourcing their worth & start living in alignment with their calling. When you take your power back, you give others permission to do the same. EP 15: Marrying Your Mission

In this solo episode of the Nomad CEO Podcast, I’m speaking straight to the World Changers about what it really means to marry your mission. As I record this, I’m packing for Romania, country number #39 & my mission is unfolding in real time. This episode is about commitment, not to a person, but to the thing you were created to do. What I cover: • What marrying your mission actually means • Why commitment matters even when life gets messy • How purpose creates identity, confidence & security • Why healthy relationships start with being a healthy single • The truth about distractions, insecurity & setbacks • How your mission is already inside you, waiting to be claimed Things I said in this episode: • Marrying your mission means hell or high water, I will find a way • You do not need to be married to be deeply committed to your calling • Everyone has a World Changer within them, no matter how small or big their world feels • Most people just want to love & be loved to be seen heard & accepted • If you don’t know your mission, your job is to go find it because it’s already in you I also share why Romania matters to me right now, working alongside my uncle on communication training & spending time at an orphanage to build an impact partnership through World Changers. This mission has always been about more than business. It’s about creating opportunity, awakening purpose, & helping people step into the world-changing they carry. If you’ve been waiting for permission to fully commit, this episode is your invitation to say yes.   Enjoying the conversation?Stay connected & join the movement: 📍 Follow Kens (Host) IG: https://www.instagram.com/nomad_ceo_/ LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/mckensie-stanton-765299325 🌍 World Changers: https://www.instagram.com/worldchangers.me/ ⚡ Elite Edge: https://www.instagram.com/elite_edge___/  📘 Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61586444813911    🎧 Available now on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, & YouTube
